wild & precious life

Started and ended the day with a beautiful walk on the beach with my youngest daughter.

Hubby came after work to spend the evening with us and also to collect the dogs. By taking them home with him, it meant that we would be free to pack up the motorhome and drive off site the next day. Unfortunately, the site was fully booked on Friday and Saturday so we were unable to extend our stay over the weekend.

We had fish & chips from Seahouses, the next village along the coast, from which there is a great view of the Farne Islands, Bamburgh Castle and Holy Island. We also had a lovely walk around Beadnell harbour and bay (see extra).

The other extra shows an Eider or a St Cuthbert's Duck (Cuddy's duck). Apparently the colony here at the Farne Islands is famous as they were protected by St Cuthbert in the year 676.
