A Day In The Life

Mellow Yellow

We’re so grateful for not waking up to a white landscape this morning. Woo-hoo! Despite snow flakes here and there none accumulated and we received a good soaking of much-needed rain instead. With the return of sun this week all the tree and flower buds will likely burst open! My apologies to Mother Nature for prematurely ranting about the upcoming April Nor’easter a couple of days ago. I misspoke • I captured a male and female goldfinch on the feeder together during a light rain shower • MrsP and I watched Prince Philip’s funeral this morning. We rather liked the scaled back covid version vs the larger more traditional event. Not that our American perspective matters but we found the ceremony to be more personal and intimate, more about The Duke and his family vs. the focus on attending dignitaries or the crowds of mourners or curiosity seekers. It was tastefully done from start to finish. The saddest moment was seeing The Queen sitting alone in the pew. Hopefully her inner strength and faith will carry her forward • Take good care, everyone!
