To the chimneys

for lunch. A car pulled up as we left the village and asked for directions to a pub that has been closed since long before we moved here, she had a book with a circular walk she wanted to do but couldn’t find the place to start. We explained to her that the pub car park she wanted to use was no longer a car park and suggested that as the walk came through the village that she parked in the square and started at a different point. She didn’t seem very interested in that idea and thanked us and drove off. We continued on our walk up to the chimneys and had our lunch sat in the sun listening to the birds. Two hares ran down the path we had just walked up, first time we have seen hare up this walk. Did a few jobs around the cottage when we got back and had a good hour reading. Another lovely day.
