Cammo Estate Water Tower

A 10km walk around Cammo Estate with our friends J & D.   It was cooler today with intermittent drizzle but that didn't put a 'damper' on our walk!   The water tower is four stories topped with a parapet.   It was built in the early 19th century to supply water to Cammo House and at that time looked out over a landscaped garden.   The house was left to the National Trust in 1975 but after repeated arson attacks it was pulled down and the estate parkland was given to Edinburgh Council who maintain it as a wilderness park.
