At last, a pint!

Another sunny day today, with one wonderful difference. It was actually warm! Rejoice!

I started off the morning joining a local gathering of people at the site of a proposed new road, which is going to dig up half the countryside and tear down some ancient trees. It was a lovely gathering with some tree experts and ecologists giving us some history of the area and then a few local people pitching in. I loved hearing from people who are passionate about their local area and long to preserve it for future generations. It was also lovely to catch up with a few familiar faces and make some new connections. If you live in Shropshire and haven't had your say yet (either way) there is still time. We have the right (and it's a privilege) to have our voices heard.

After that Liam came over with the dogs and we picked up a coffee and had a lovely walk around the same area we'd just been gathered in. While waiting for Liam to arrived I happily bumped into Jan, Martin and Derek and had a lovely catch up! (lovely to see you if you read this!)

Then cycled into town to meet these renegades, stopping briefly to catch up with all the Food Hub guys who were out walking and fundraising today. A beer! A burger! Twins rolling around eating dirt! Just delightful.

An absolutely glorious day of sunshine, passionate people and fun with friends. I love Shrewsbury.
