Up early and decided on a walk to the Low Wood Hotel. It’s along a narrow footpath by the main road but 6.30 to 7.30 in the morning is possibly the best time to do it. My photos across the lake were disappointing (they seemed out of focus despite settings being ok) and I would have benefitted from a longer lens because I didn’t want to trespass on hotel land (there were lots of keep out signs). I’ve chosen a shot where I focussed on the foreground.

Not the brightest of days but even at that time I was passed by a number of cars with canoes and other small boats on their roof racks.
