Arrowleaf Balsamroot

I love it when the hillsides are covered with blooming Balsamroot. they are like mini sunflowers. The Native people found the Balsamroot to be very useful. Leaves, stems, roots and seeds of Balsamroot are all edible. Native people refined the art of preparing this food through grinding seeds to use as flour for making cakes.
