Butterflies - a surprising couple

A beautiful morning saw, under the ‘rule of 6’ a tennis ladies get together in the garden this morning to mark N’s ‘retirement’. She was 80 last year - there was quite a lot of reminiscing! I’ve been playing tennis at Harlow for nearly 35 years.
Saw these butterflies on a walk out from home onto the Yorkshire Showground in the afternoon. They were twirling together, rested for a while and then twirled together again as they disappeared out of view. A pristine peacock and a disheveled small tortoiseshell
- there’s a joy in seeing these two frolicking together in the warm spring air
‘Except for the point, the still point,
There would be no dance, and there is only the dance’
