Bird cage

Daughter phoned me this morning and about half an hour in I suggested she come round and we continue the conversation in the garden. After coffee and a very late breakfast in the sun she helped with a whole lot of garden tasks, the main one being sieving yet more glass and ironmongery out of soil so we could fill a large planter.

One job she decided on for herself was sweeping the slippery, muddy path. Except that as we've had no rain for ages, it's compacted soil and she brushed huge clouds of dust up into the air. I couldn't get a picture of the hoards of sparrows who then descended for a dust bath but I almost managed a couple in the apple (oops) cherry tree.
