Kermit’s cousin

Snoozing on our verandah railing when I took this blip....he soon moved into the down pipe to begin his amplified croaking right outside our bedroom window.

We don’t see as many of these frogs now as cane toads have moved into the area and taken over. They were introduced into Australia in the 1930s from Hawaii to try and eradicate a destructive beetle in the sugar cane. They are now a huge pest and very poisonous to animals.
