Blean Woods

Lovely walk today in bright sunshine. Air just nicely fresh. No coats. The woods are managed for birds and wildlife and the birds were singing their hearts out, one in particular channelling Joan Sutherland in full coloratura mode.
Areas like this are cleared to encouraged insects and butterflies especially the very rare heath fritillary.
