Oxlips

Yesterday afternoon we had a walk around Shadwell Wood in Ashdon, just over the border in Essex. We met up with our friends Mandy and Jon and passed a very pleasant afternoon.

I took my large format 5 x 4in camera as there were a couple of views I had in mind for a photograph, these are the extras developed this morning. For those interested both images had the same exposure... 

MPP Micro Technical 5 x 4in and Schneider Kreuznach Xenar 1:4.5/150mm, Fomapan 100, f16 at 1/2 sec.  Scanned with Epson Perfection V800.

I had to go back this morning to photograph these Oxlips... these beautiful flowers are only found in this area even though there are lots growing in these woods they are very rare.
