Mayfair lady

I made a very exciting pilgrimage to the Lindsey Ingram Gallery around the back of Bond Street today.

'Bourdon Street Chemist' is a pharmacy sized installation where everything is made of felt. Yes a whole shop kitted out with felt facsimiles of everything from first aid, to bathroom products and baby food. Everything covid safe.

The artist Lucy Sparrow is well know for her faux-reality felt worlds so the gallery was totally booked out. I hung around and chatted to the security guard for a bit and got a walk-in.

Have a look at my Flickr Gallery for a look inside.

By the way, did you know that the film adaptation of Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion was called 'My Fair Lady' because that's how Eliza would have  pronounced Mayfair Lady before her elocution lessons.
