West Wing

We finished West Wing (again), seven seasons, 154 episodes, having  started in the run up to last November's Presidential election.  It was shown in the UK on Channel 4 between 2001 - 2006 and won a string of awards.  It really is quality drama.  Thankfully we still have an operational DVD player.  

On a trip to Washington DC in November 2000 we saw it being filmed outside the White House and on Capitol Hill.   The drama was already on US TV but we hadn't heard of it.   When the very distinctive Christmas episode was screened in the UK we recognised the scenes we had seen being filmed with Bradley Whitford playing Deputy Chief of Staff Josh Lyman!
