St Combs

The ruins of the Mediaeval kirk at St Combs. Only the gable end remains 4 centuries after it fell into disuse. A glorious sunny evening with huge breakers rolling in, gannets flying west and occasionally diving as they headed back to the colony at Troup Head, the odd fulmar and most pleasingly a host of house martins wheeling above the beach. A highly enjoyable walk.
