Botanic Trees

We took advantage of a Covid vaccine trial trip to Edinburgh to visit the Royal Botanic Gardens and on a lovely sunny day the gardens were looking magnificent.

We saw the Kazhak tree from South West Asia at the right time with its Spring time white blossom and I have included another 2 trees that caught my eye. I was surprised to read that the first one was an Acer ( Acer pseudoplatanus ‘ Corstorphinense’ ) - I wonder if there is an Edinburgh connection with its name !
