La vida de Annie

By Annie

Carretera cerrada.

Went into town on a few errands today, including getting passport-style photos for the TIE* application process on Friday. It was strange to actually walk through Mahon for a change as opposed to quick dashes to a supermarket. Passing a primary school I was impressed to see the under-sixes in the playground, all wearing masks. Minnie2 had a great time chasing pigeons in the main square, but was totally freaked by the hard-core noisy machinery wrecking the main shopping street (it's called an improvement apparently). Extra shows one of the huge holes.

* Tarjeta de identidad de extranjero. The TIE is a biometric card that contains the identity details of a foreigner who lives in Spain. For many years this has been the identity card for residents from outside the EU and the EEA. This card will now be issued also for British nationals with a special note stating that the holder benefits from the Withdrawal Agreement for residency purposes.
