Roman Head sculpture

This newly built sculpture was our destination this morning.It is situated at the Nethercroy site of the Antonine Wall. Silvanus, the god of Woods, was named by the public. I really like the sculpture and it looked magnificent against this morning’s blue sky.

We travelled through to friends for lunch outside in their garden. Very pleasant in the sunshine.

Another wee surprise tonight.... two bunches of flowers....(one of roses and the other narcissi ) on the doorstep!
