I was here
in the fritillary meadow
like Jack, there, with his Nikon
He was here
and Amy with her Canon
She was here
and yesterday Callum
and Mariam and Luke
with mobile phones
They were here
and tomorrow Samir
and Katie and Joan
They'll be here
and we'll blip and flickr 
and instagram
as if the fritillaries didn't 
exist without us.

Or maybe vice versa.
