Banksia Friday......

......saw this beauty on our Morning Meander through Kings Park this morning. And a bee to boot!

Unfortunately Perth and the Peel area has now gone into lockdown for three days. A man contracted Covid whilst in quarantine at a Mercure hotel in the city. He tested negative on day 12 so left and touristed for five days. He then flew to Melbourne......
So - our ANZAC long weekend has been turned on its head. It’s so sad especially for those returned soldiers for whom this dawn service could be their last. I guess we will do the driveway dawn services as we did last year. That was rather special in its own way.
At least we can still go for a walk, masked, and the weather is expected to be gorgeous. Oh well, we have been so much better off than most other states/countries.  We will just have to “suck it up”.
