Chestnut Spikes

Developing. I walk past these early morning on my way to the fish shop. Seems to me they are slow and late this year.  What does anyone else think about this strange Spring?. A drought is developing here in East Anglia.

Extra, a beautiful Silver Birch just coming into leaf. Hard to do it justice.

I've spent a busy afternoon washing woolies , hat, scarf that I hope I'll not need again until next winter. I've also managed to let go of a big bag of clothing for Oxfam. Why do I hoard so much stuff !!.
