A visit to Wallington (National Trust)

With the recent partial easing of lockdown, my younger brother & his wife, who live down south, have been able at last to travel up north in their camper van to visit the family members here (in multiples of 6, out of doors): they're staying at the camping site at Old Hartley, near Whitley Bay.  Today we met them at Wallington, up in Northumberland.

We're so lucky that the weather was amazingly good so that meeting out of doors was not a problem. Naturally I took lots of photos but this shot of a lady Mallard won prime spot in my blip journal today (I like the way her neck looks almost translucent!) with the goose in the extra coming a close second (what amazingly flexible necks they have!).
