Falling as Snow on the Higher Ground

Another dreich day from the start, turning to persistent rain during the course of the morning.

Someone said to me in my Banchory office around lunchtime, that the forecast was for snow around 4pm. Well, 4pm came and went in Banchory, and there was still no sign of the white stuff; but on the way home, climbing up to Learney along the B993 north of Torphins, this dusting of fresh snow was clearly visible on the side of the Hill of Fare.

To the left stands one of the characterful Larch trees along this stretch of the road.
