Greater spotted woodpecker

My son was out for a walk early around 7.30 am and he heard the tap-tapping of a woodpecker.  Then he realised it was fully visible and he managed to get this shot.  A lady who often chats with him then told him what it actually was - hence the title!  I had to blip this as he doesn’t do blipping any more and it’s way better than any photos I might get today!

I spent the morning cleaning all the many ceramic items and bottles that stand on my kitchen windowsill.  Then hubby cleaned the windows for me (I can’t reach them).  They get so splashed from the kitchen sink - in a few days they won’t look clean any more, but it’s nice for now!
