Visiting Silvanus

We went a walk up Croy hill this morning to see the sculpture of the Roman soldier and the Roman distance stone. There was a cold wind when we started out but the sun came out and it was really nice. The extras explain about the sculpture and the distance stone. We had a lovely coffee and cake at the Boathouse on the way back and watched the activity on the canal which was really busy with canoeists and paddleboarders. The other extra is looking from the hill over to Kilsyth and the Campsie hills.
