Alcester - Nothing happened on this site in1782...

Well after yesterdays walk it was a day for taking it easy.

A few weeks back I posted an image of a sign that indicated nothing happened here 5th Sept 1782. Well it did last Saturday when a fire ripped through the Grade II listed "The Three Tuns" pub. No one was hurt but the building was extensively damaged. First extra shows a close up of the damage and the blue sign.

The extra was taken in the local church St Nicholas that had been opened up for the day.
