The Silvery Ness

It was quite nice to be down the town today, everything was quiet, like a nineteen sixties Sunday. It will all change tomorrow when shops, bars cafes and resaurants awake from their slumber. Boots was almost deserted, though my choice of Tesco store was quite busy. If William McGonagall, the bard of terrible poetry was here to observe the river today he might have written the following.

The silvery Ness runs through the town of Inverness
For nigh on three miles, I would guess
Contributing greatly to the town’s success
It was very windy on the banks of the Ness
My hat blew off, and my hair is a mess.

The river is more silvery in the extra shot.
