Out for the evening stroll, and there were a number of very tame mallards on the path ahead. They didn't seem to mind me crouching down low to get this quick snap. Whilst they must be considered one of the most "common" birds you see (at least in Europe), I'm always impressed by the patterns and textures with infinite intricacy their feathers have.
