Getting ready to sort those daisy's out

We were invited for lunchtime drinks and nibbles at a neighbours. Very pleasant few hours in the sunshine , but still cold. A bit more normal seeping back in to our lives.
It does not seem very long ago that I was complaining the garden was waterlogged. Now it is rock hard, it has not rained for weeks. The lack of water and low temperatures seem to be keeping the grass low, unfortunately it seems to be encouraging the daisies. Going up and down with the mower is easier with lots of flowers in the grass, the cutting line is far clearer.
Mowing all done and tried to drive the mower back to the garage but it was dead. No warning, no bangs or screams and nothing broken lying in the grass. It looks like a belt that connects the gearbox has come off. A nice man is coming tomorrow to sort it. Pushing it across the grass, along a gravel drive and up the ramp into the garage put an end to any other physical activity for the day.
Now resting
