Street signs

Most days my morning walk is a variant on the same route. I do wish I had an app that showed me where I had walked throughout lockdown. It might help me identify unexplored streets in the neighbourhood. On most days the morning walk is my main opportunity to take a picture of something new an interesting and, I think, it is making me much more aware of objects around me. Today, for example, I noticed that this street sign on Bushey Road is missing the most important element: the actual sign. I wonder if I have been walking past this for months or if there has been some recent incident that resulted in the name being removed?
