LD 399 Where there's a way....

A year ago yesterday I blipped the tangled woodland that had grown up over the old track that led from our house down to (nearly) the road .

At that time the thought of opening it up seemed fanciful but during lockdown the idea gradually took hold  and so we arranged for the main trees and bushes to be cut out and then , some weeks ago, for the ground by the rocks to be scraped and levelled.

Today Cathleen started to sow grass seed and in a few weeks what was a tangled, impenetrable thicket will be part of our garden.  We can even see down to the stile that allows us to climb the fence on our walks up and down.

We have also cleared a path through some of the shelter belt at the back of the house , which we planted ourselves almost twenty years go.
