‘Moving Water’

It was another beautiful weekend; having lunch in our favourite secluded spot of our little garden is looking like a real possibility again.

To celebrate this sign of the beginning of summer - and also the easing of Covid restrictions in Scotland - I went off this afternoon to the local IKEA to pick up a new outdoor table and then made a brief detour to Flotterstone and Glencorse Reservoir, a local beauty spot nestling on the eastern side of the Pentland Hills. I suddenly realised that this was the first time I had been outside Edinburgh for at least four months!

Beside the path up to the reservoir, is a little stream, the Glencorse Burn.
