The Storm has Passed

Mid afternoon the thunder rolled through and rattled the windows in my office. The wind blew and the rain came down in sheets. Within the hour, the clouds had passed, the sun was out, and the ground was drying up quickly.

It doesn't rain very often here in the high desert, not nearly as much as we need, but I am thankful that when it does, almost immediately after, the sun is back out and making the day bright and glorious, again. Is it any wonder I love this place?
