Windows into my Life

The prison Wall

This is a wall of the New plymouth Prison. It closes today and for its last day the public were aloud to have a look around.
I found the place to be very unsettling. Its corridors now empty and the cells doors flung open to expose the hidden life of a convict. The place was so run down it felt just like I expected it to actually. These bricked up old doors stood out to me. In times gone past they were probably the entrance where you were either ushered into prison life or set free once your dues were paid.
