Quod oculus meus videt

Arboretum Colours

Now that shops are open we are catching up on some house improvements we have put off until we can 'touch and feel'.

Before visiting the "Hole in the Wall' a fantastic fabric and Haberdashers in Walsall, we went for a walk around the Arboretum.  It probably never looks more colourful and it was only a shame that it was the first cloudy day for some time, we even had drops of rain!  I haven't done a PepVentosa style image for a while, so was looking out for a suitable subject.  I'd have loved to do something in the round, completing a full 360 degree capture, but there were very few specific,in trees standing alone that were colourful.  In the end I quite liked this cherry at the end of the pool, complete with an Acer Brilliantisimum in the background.

Then we headed for the shops to order some curtains for the sitting room.  Finally we popped into Debenhams, which has only 6 days left until it closes. Only a few bargains to be had and we took the plunge and bought a bean to cup coffee machine that was more than 80% off the price in other stores (I checked before taking the plunge).  So looking forward to the first cup.
