Anne's Daily Encounters

Away from the crowds

Kingsday here in Holland, where we have a Bankholiday for celebrating his birthday. Because of the lockdown measures nothing was organized or allowed like in Pre-Corona times and I looked for a park away from  the city where we walkers were few and could walk far from each other.  It was lovely to walk in nature again; hearing and seeing doves walking on the dried out leafs of last Autumn and hearing but not seeing young mice?! run underneath the foliage.

Sunny weather, but chilly still, and a Bankholiday, what invited lots of people to the city centres and parks like in pré-pandemic times. What a pity that lots of people, and most of them young ones, went out to celebrate a party like there isn't the invisible enemy virus Corona around. Probably none of those youngster got the jab yet (even I haven't) and a new outbreak of infection here in a fortnight... I hope I'm wrong!
