We've got tree surgeons here this week.  The boss is supervising the trainee who is about to go up the ladder.  They seem very skilled.  The problem with beech trees is that they form a very dense canopy and nothing survives underneath.  So we are removing some of the lower branches to let a bit of light into our garden, whilst leaving the trees to grow to their magnificent height.  The tree surgeons will be back later in the week.  I will try to catch a snap of one up a tree :-)
