One firework.....

One idiot with a firework on Sunday night, miles of Marsden Moor burnt, the smell is awful. The moor belongs to the National Trust and is a site of special interest for ground nesting birds, mountain hares and short eared owls, not to mention all the sheep and lambs. The fire engines have finally been stood down and the rangers are monitoring for any further flare ups. Because the moorland is peat, fire can burn underground before resurfacing.
