Olio di Oliva
Italian friend surprised us a few days ago. Said he was sending us some locally produced extra virgin olive oil. It arrived yesterday and today I decanted some into a manageably sized bottle with pouring spout.
Soaked dried white beans overnight. Cooked today with bay leaves, olive oil and mustard seeds. Then enjoyed my bean feast drizzled with the oil. Heaven.
Used my medically recommended sun protection cream yesterday, without realising it was well past expiry. Eyes and nose sore as a result. Have ordered another cream (made in New Zealand). So took a Piriton last night. Been drowsy and slept for a couple of hours this afternoon. Shall have an early night.
