A Blip-Postcard from ...........

........... in front of a small palm tree.

Been trying to catch one of these for over a week - there are plenty of them about but they don't sit still for long - this one took pity on me early this morning and I managed a lot of shots before he took to the wing to catch his breakfast insects.
This is also SOOC aside from a heavy crop.

He is a Grey Kingbird (Tyrranus dominicensis) and also known as a Pitirre. I tried to get one flying as they show flashes of bright white in their wings and tail but no luck.

The sunrise today was nothing to shout about and then, about 7.45am down came the rain - phew, did it come down!!! Now the sun is fighting his way through the clouds and patches of blue are starting to appear - it's a little cooler (around 25C/78F) but I suspect that will rise quite a bit. Two and a half days left (booooo) and then back to chilly UK!!!
