Leighton Moss

Walk round RSPB Leighton Moss bird reserve this morning. Hides are still closed but still plenty to see.

Main picture is Cowslips, Primula veris, which are looking good.

Extra is more interesting even if not as photogenic.
It is a fungus new to us.  A bracket fungus growing on a large dead Willow.
We think it is a variety of Common Mazegill.

The second shot shows the underneath and certainly explains its name.

However as fungi are not easy to identify I would bevery happy to hear other suggestions.
