Seasonal Joy

I've not been a happy bunny today.

But I did get out to buy the first strawberries of the season.  The first batch is always good after waiting for nearly 10 months for them but they will get sweeter and even more delicious.

A memory from my childhood was that every time we bought strawberries there was ALWAYS a layer of unripe white ones at the bottom of EVERY punnet.  Doesn't happen here.

These won't last long.  They never do.
