Little Treasures

I just love these delicate little blooms that have just started to open in a hidden corner of the garden. 

It had been a very sad day today as I discovered my pond had been devastated, probably by the herons we often see around. With gruesome efficiency, we had lost every fish. 

Self blame and recriminations for what I did wrong won’t bring them back. But at least I can still take comfort from the beautiful flowers.
