Rain Kissed

What started out as a day to cause concern, that of being stormy and having a slim chance to get out and blip, turned out to be rather blip worthy after all. Given the conditions, it was figured it was the best opportunity to capture a flower splashed with water drops. The only concern was whether or not mother nature would be nice enough to offer a break in the periods of falling water. As it turns out, she was feeling a bit generous. In addition to mother nature's generosity, the local botanical garden kept their gates open to the public. So far so good!

So, with a flash (to provide better contrast and illumination for the water drops), tripod, and a camera in hand, one set out to capture some rain kissed roses. It was a beautiful and intriguing day after all!
