Abby's Check Up............

Abby went to see her vet today.   She had a pretty good check-up.   She stays on antibiotics for another 5 days.   She was checked for anal gland cancer which proved negative.   However she still had an infection in her gland.  The other anal gland had to be expressed because it was full and rock hard.  
    She got some antibiotic ointment to help hear her wound and some anti inflammatory  drugs  (like aspirin, only not) to help her heal.
       While we were there, since Molly has never had her glands checked, and we were already there, the vet offered to check.   No cancer, but in need of expressing.  She required no meds, but was rather miffed.
     When we got home, both girls curled up in a round dog bed and commiserated together.  Neither girl would have anything to do with me all afternoon.     But, since supper was given, they have completely forgiven me.  :-))))))))
