Duck eggs

The sun was hot today with the temperature at 80 degrees Fahrenheit. As we were picking asparagus from the garden the Momma duck was panting from the heat while on her nest. We moved a small garden sculpture near her and filled the dished out part with water. She left the nest to get a drink and we were able to see her eggs. I count 8 in this picture. We didn’t want to get real close to get an accurate count, but I bet there are at least 8 in the nest.
