Tappets

Family visit time up to Grimsby means a trip out to one of the many war time museums. This time round it was East Kirkby to wander round looking at a stunning example of a Lancaster bomber and many hunks of wreckage salvaged from the fields throughout the country.

Being an engineer, I'm naturally draw to this kind of thing, but the Merlin engine (today's blip) is such a great example of the engineering abilities of the era that it's one of my favourite objects. Plus it sounds FANTASTIC!

Might go in summer next time though - was blinkin freezing!
