I seem to be on a water series.  This is the Clyde Estuary, the Clyde Coast as we call it, well down the river on the way to the sea, and the CalMac ferry is going to the isle of Cumbrae, which you can see in the picture.

It is only a ten minute journey from Largs  to Millport on Cumbrae,  much loved by Glaswegians and many have flats and holiday cottages on the island.

The hills in the background are the hills of the island of Arran, also much loved, particularly by climbers and walkers, as the north of the island has a lovely group of hills, perfect for a day's climb, and many walks besides if you don't wish to go high.

I have a fondness of the CalMac ferries, which serve the islands of Scotland, apart from our northern islands of Orkney and Shetland.

Another beautiful day, and quite warm too.  Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend.
