Brancaster mussels

I don't think it has stopped raining all day so getting out of work at lunchtime to enjoy these mussels was the highpoint of the day. Mussels definitely taste different when they come from different waters. Our local moules de bouchot in France are small and sweet. When these are not available (currently), the Spanish mussels are a fair substitute. These are large and full flavoured. These Norfolk mussels are well filled but milder and more subtle in flavour. I like them all.
