Nash Point Lighthouse

My wife and I went for a walk to Nash Point Lighthouse which is a grade II  listed building constructed in 1831. The lighthouse  took just 11 months to build using Blue Lias sandstone hauled up from the beach below by winches. The lighthouse was built to warn seafarers of the treacherous Nash sands which have been responsible for the loss of many ships and lives over the years.
